First Steps to a Successful Web Presence

Building a successful web presence may be easier than you think. All it takes is a little time and attention to have an effective presence on the web that will present your organization, define your community, reach the unreached and touch lives! Here are the first three steps to getting started online:

1. Claim Your Web Real Estate
Do a search of your church or organization’s name on the web and see what appears in search results. Wherever your name appears, try to go in and claim the profile. Top places include google maps, yellowpages, citysearch, yahoo, etc.  Read more here: Free Real Estate Waiting for You to Claim

2. Set-Up Your Social Networks
You will need a Facebook page for sure and other Social Networks as they relate. Just as in step one, you need to claim your social real estate too. Try the same real estate discovery technique with social networks. Go to social sites like LinkedIn or Facebook and search for your organization’s name. You may find that it’s already there. 3. Build Your Web Site
You will not believe how easy it is to get a web site started. There are countless ways for building a web site, everything from absolutely free to custom platforms costing thousands of dollars.
